To improve the cross-border shipping experience, SidelineSwap has partnered with Chit Chats to offer an additional shipping option for Canada-to-US deliveries.
What Is Chit Chats?
Chit Chats is a Canadian shipping service that partners with U.S. carriers (like USPS) to move packages across the border at a lower cost. They collect shipments from Canadian sellers, transport them to the U.S., and hand them off to a domestic carrier for final delivery. This means:
- Lower shipping costs
- More predictable delivery timelines
- Better tracking visibility once the package enters the U.S.
You can find more info about Chit Chats here.
How This Change Works on SidelineSwap
- Most Canada to US shipments will now ship through Chit Chats.
- If Chit Chats isn’t available in a seller’s region, we will automatically generate a FedEx label instead.
- If you receive a Chit Chats label but cannot access a drop off point or prefer another carrier, please contact SidelineSwap Support. You can check availability in your area here.
- Chit Chats labels for Canada to US shipments will show USPS branding and will list Chit Chats’ US processing facility as the return address. Both are expected. (Example label at the bottom of this page)
- Sellers can still choose Use My Own Label.
- Shipments within Canada will continue to be handled primarily by Canada Post.
Does Anything Change for Sellers?
No major workflow changes. Just:
- Print the label provided.
- Drop off the package with the carrier listed on the label (Chit Chats, FedEx, or Canada Post).
- Tracking will update automatically in SidelineSwap.
Why We Made This Change
Our goal is to make U.S.-bound shipments from Canada:
- More affordable
- More reliable
- Simpler for sellers
Buyers will continue to receive tracking updates through delivery and will not incur any fees on delivery.
