SidelineSwap includes 3rd party shipping insurance in the shipping cost for select packages to cover damage or loss of product in shipment up to $5,000. If an item is damaged in transit, the Buyer can open a dispute by clicking "Accept or Reject Item" on the swap page, then "No, Not as Advertised,” and explain the dispute. If the Buyer opens a dispute and it’s determined that the package was damaged or lost in transit, the Seller may be covered by shipping insurance. We currently provide shipping insurance on orders over $500 in the following categories:
- Bikes > Complete Bikes
- Bikes > Frames
If your item doesn't qualify for our 3rd party automatic insurance, it may still qualify for automatic insurance by your shipping provider, typically up to $100. If you'd still like to purchase insurance on an expensive item you're shipping, read here for how to do so.
