SidelineSwap is a great place to buy and sell lacrosse shafts, both new and used. We've got a few tips to help you ship them safely.
Materials You'll Need
- Quality packing tape
- USPS Medium Sized Tube box (38” x 6” x 5”)
- For long poles tape 2 boxes together
- Bubble wrap/newspaper
Our Seller Assist team ships lacrosse shafts out on a regular basis, and they recommend using free USPS tube boxes. We recommend ordering their 38” x 6” x 5” USPS medium tube box.
For long poles, assemble the first box and leave one end open. Assemble the 2nd box leaving both sides open. Tape the boxes together at the open end so you are left with a single tube. You should now have a single box approximately 76” in length. Cut one side of the box so the stick does not have free space to move around. We recommend filling the ends of the box with crumpled newspaper or to ensure the shaft is not touching the end of the box.
Don’t forget to use your bubble wrap/newspaper to fill the space in the box to prevent the shaft from moving in the package. Shafts without bubble wrap/paper have a higher chance of shifting in the package and piercing the box. This can lead to your shaft falling out and being lost in transit.
If you cannot get your hands on a USPS medium tube box, you can always use a box you already own. Rug boxes, hockey stick boxes, and lamp boxes are good examples of the proper size and shape box that you could use to ship your Lacrosse shaft.
For Canadian Sellers, we recommend checking out the ULINE 38"-48” Long corrugated boxes.
